Steve Granholm, Ph.D., is a wildlife biologist with 30 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including 25 years at LSA Associates. Dr. Granholm (retired as of 2012) prepared state and federal permit applications on behalf of public and private clients; designed mitigation and management plans for wetlands and other wildlife habitats; managed comprehensive assessments of biological impacts; conducted surveys for rare, threatened, and endangered animal species; developed wildlife policy for local governments; and oversaw the work of many LSA staff who addressed such issues. He has served as an expert witness on wetlands impacts, and has authored numerous wildlife-habitat documents. For several years, he served on the Albany Waterfront Committee, making recommendations to the Albany City Council, focusing in particular on environmental issues.
