Ken Bukowski has served in the Emeryville City Council since 1987, including six terms as Mayor. He was a member of a CESP committee formed to advance the concept of an Eastshore State Park before it became a reality. Bukowski has spent many years working on regional transportation issues, including eight years opposing the new East Span of the Bay Bridge. Bukowski is a member of the Alameda County Waste Management Authority, and has served on the Alameda County Lead Poisoning and Prevention Board and the League of California Cities Transportation, Telecommunications, and Public Works statewide committee. His goal is to establish a regional land use and transportation convention for the nine Bay Area counties every three years when the Regional Transportation Plan must be updated.
